Always on my Mind By: Susan May Warren

Casper Christiansen is good at helping everyone that needs it, when it comes to his own problems he is good at running away, and as an archeologist/treasure hunter it’s never hard to find a place to go. After a failed dig in Honduras Casper has returns home to surprise the girl he fell in love with. However, Raina has a secret she’s been hiding and the truth leaves Casper heartbroken, but Raina needs a friend and Casper needs to figure out how to be that for her and show her how much God cares for her.

I can never turn down a Susan May Warren book, especially when it is a Christiansen Family Novel. Always on my Mind may be one of my favorites yet, I’ve loved the other books but there is something about Casper and Raina’s story and how it is not a neat and pretty story tied up with a bow. It is a story full of emotions and struggle, Casper and Raina are authentic and real and dealing with life and it doesn’t end resolved. As the series has continued each book continues to progress and grow with the characters. I recommend this book, and the entire series to anyone. Make sure to start at the beginning  though!

When I Fall in Love By: Susan May Warren

When I Fall in Love By: Susan May Warren

I have always been a fan of Susan May Warren, not only a fan of her writing but the Christensen Family novels are some of my favorites. When I Fall in Love will not disappoint longtime fans or those new to the books. Warren has a fantastic way of telling a story that completely captivates you. Her characters have a depth that isn’t often found in books.

The store of Grace and Max is one that you will enjoy and also remind you that sometimes you need to step out of your comfort zone, face your fears and let go and follow God. This book will remind you that many times we are the largest obstacles that get in the way of the dreams that God has planned for us.

Follow the story of Grace as she faces her fears and leaves the comfort and safety of her home to follow the dreams that she always had. Join Max as he struggles with a decision he thought he had made years previous and realizes that sometimes God’s plans are bigger and better.

This is a book and a series that you will want to add to your collection. I cannot express how much I enjoy Susan May Warrens writing and how much I connected with Grace and was able to get out of this book.

It Had to be You By @Susanmaywarren

It Had to be You by Susan May Warren

Eden Christiansen never expected to be her younger brother, Owen’s, cheerleader. Attending all of his hockey games, being there whenever he needed something. When Owen begins to make some poor decisions Eden turns to Team Captain and Enforcer, Jace Jacobsen, who appears unwilling to help.

I have always loved Susan May Warren’s writing and specifically her Deep Haven books, and although ‘It Had to be You’ takes place in the city for the most part, this may be one of my favorite books! I love the character of Eden, disgruntled with her job and dreaming of more, investing fully in her family and the dreams they have! With both Jace and Eden you see how their characters struggle with the everyday and how they grow and change as the book continues.

Warren’s writing will draw you in and make you believe you are a member of the Christiansen family. For those of you who love a well developed christian romance story with a side of mystery, characters you can relate to, and a book you will not want to put down, this is the book for you!

You Don’t Know Me By Susan May Warren

Just in time for fall, Susan May Warren releases her latest novella You Don’t Know Me. So take the time to warm up a cup of cocoa, pull out your favorite blanket and settle in for an extended weekend on the couch to read Warrens’ latest.

Annalise Decker has a picture perfect life, a husband running for mayor, three kids, one a volleyball champ and one the lead in the school play. Her life appears perfect, but Annalise has a secret that could mean life or death, a secret she has never shared with her family. Everyone has secrets, big and small things that we don’t want others to find out, but Annalise’s secret may be too big of a secret, one that tears the perfect life she has built and her family apart. Is it possible that these secrets build up to be too much for one family to handle?

For Annalise she has found her place in the town of Deep Haven, a wife, mother, PTO member, you name it and Annalise is involved in some way. Than one day she runs into someone from her past, someone who should not be in Deep Haven, the very person that can destroy the life that she has built.

Susan May Warren brings us another story from our favorite town of Deep Haven, and once again does not disappoint us. Deep Haven is full of rich characters, a community you feel you are a part of as you read about the Decker’s.  This book will have you thinking and realizing how much keeping secrets can hurt the people you love.

You Don’t Know Me is a great story and a great addition to the Deep Haven books. A great weekend read!
