One Realm Beyond By: Donita K. Paul

Cantor D’Ahma has been trained his entire life for what comes next, he’s been waiting for the day where he is able to step out into the world and become a full Realm Walker. Cantor has been born with the gift of realm jumping and knows that one day he will help to protect the realms, but until that time comes he must continue to learn and train in his abilities.

One Realm Beyond is the first book from Donita K. Paul. Paul is a captivating writer who will pull you into the story with her writing skills; however, when you take a step back the story is slow going and nothing is really happening, with paragraphs explaining the clothes someone wears it gets a bit tedious. As you go through the book it begins to pick up slightly. I really enjoy Paul’s writing style and her attention to detail and description but would of liked the plot to have picked up a lot sooner and earlier in the book. With this said I will still read the next book in hopes that the story will pick up.

Thalli is back in the second book in the Anomaly trilogy and the Scientists are still on her trail. After finding their way to the surface Thalli, Berk, Rhen and John find themselves on a 900 mile trek across what used to be the United States. After long days filled with dust and attacks from animals they had only seen on screens the group finally makes it to the town of New Hope, where Thalli learns the truth of what happened to the world. With so many questions Thalli is not sure what to believe. With violence from the nearby town of Athens threatening New Hope, Thalli volunteers to go on a peace seeking mission to find a way for the towns to work together. From everything she has heard of about Athens she expects to find a town of ruthless people but instead finds Prince Alex who is kind and a city in need of help. With the stories of the Designer that John has told her Thalli finds herself searching for answers and the truth but her time is running short because the State is closing in on the group.

Krista McGee never fails to impress and continues the Anomaly Trilogy  with a captivating story of hope! This story will surprise you from beginning to end, with twists and turns around every corner and new characters you will love. McGee keeps you guessing all the way through. This trilogy will be the next big dystopian book! The only negative is having to wait until July for the conclusion! I absolutely loved this book!
