The 4 Dimensions of Extraordinary Leadership: The Power of Leading from your Heart, Soul, Mind and Strength

By: Jenni Catron

Lately I have been reading a lot of books on leadership, and this is definitely one that is at the top of my list. Most leadership books have a tendency to come from a male perspective specific to a work environment. Catron approaches the topic of leadership in a completely different way. She uses biblical truth and focuses on 4 different parts of leadership through the lensĀ of heart, soul, mind and strength. Catron uses these dimensions to help define leadership styles and allow you to realize which of them you naturally operate from.

Through the 4 Dimensions of Extraordinary Leadership Catron makes use of real life stories to show what these leadership styles look like in action and how they can change how you approach and/or respond to situations as they arise. For those of you interested in honing in on your leadership style, this book is for you.

Coldshot by: Dani Pettrey

The long awaited second series from Dani Pettrey has arrived! The first book in the Chesapeake Valor Series is now available and Coldshot is a great start. With brand new characters, I’ve loved getting to know Griffin McCray and Finley Scott and hope to see them pop up in future books. The story is exciting and full of action and will keep you entertained.

I’ve always been a huge Dani Pettrey fan, however, ColdShot felt a bit too easy, things fell together and were easily figured out. This book has so much potential and I don’t believe it quite met expectations, I hoped that it would have gone just a bit deeper and the mystery to be a little more complex. That being said I still think it is worth the read, and I look forward to the next book in the series.
