Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe

By: Max Lucado

Review:

Max Lucado’s latest release is the fiction book Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe, and I was amazed at how much I enjoyed this book. Miracle at the Higher Grounds Cafe is not like any other fiction book you have read, it is a creative uplifting story. Most of Lucado’s books are non-fiction and even with the switch of genre Lucado has continued to teach through his writing.

Miracle at the Higher Grounds will show you the power of prayer and how so many things can be at work even when you don’t see them happening around you. In this book you will find that although everyone has questions all of your answers can be found in Christ.

I love this book, you may be thrown off as it starts, but it will pull you in completely.

I received this book complimentary from Litfuse Publicity in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Chelsea Chambers is on her own. After a public split from her NFL superstar husband, Chelsea takes a bold step out of the limelight and behind the counter of the Higher Grounds Café, an old-fashioned coffee shop in dire need of reinvention. But when her courage, expert planning, and out-of-this-world cupcakes fail to pay the bills, this newly single mom finds herself desperate for help. Better yet, a miracle.

Then a curious stranger lands at Chelsea’s door, and with him, an even more curious string of events. Soon, customers are flocking to the Higher Grounds Café, and not just for the cupcakes and cappuccino. They’ve come for the internet connection to the divine. Now the café has become the go-to place for people in search of answers to life’s biggest questions.

Remnants: Season of Fire

#2: Remnants: Season of Fire - By: Lisa T. Bergren

Remnants: Season of Fire By: Lisa T. Bergren

It’s officially the release day! So head over to your favorite book dealer and check out Remnants: Season of Fire!

As the second book in the Remnants Series, Season of Fire has a bit of a slow start but from there picks up tremendously. This book is full of adventures and twists with every turn of the page. Season of Fire starts where Season of Wonder left on as we return to the journey of our favorite characters. What I love about this book, is that although we thought we knew these characters already, we have learned more about them and another level of the depth within these characters. Bergren has done amazing in crafting these characters and sharing their hopes, fears and struggles.

I love that this is also a Christian book and that theme echoes through ever page of the story. It isn’t watered down so that people will like it more, the artists shares who she is and her beliefs through this story. I cannot wait for book three! In a time where so many poorly written books with no morals stock the shelves it is great to see such a fun dystopian book.

I received this book complimentary from the author in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
